Guilermo Molinero was born in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1946. He studied at the National School of Art in Los Angeles California.
His first inclination towards the arts was in the field of music, but responding to an inner call, he then switched to sculpture, where he works proncipally withs stone, plastic, wood and concrete. Having developed a very distinctive style of his own, he juxtapone stones, or plastic parts, creating new organic shapes in his sculptures, wich he he emphasizes with grey and black paint to give an interesting ans mysterius aspect to his works. Like coming from another planet. |
